October 2nd from 7:15-9:30pm
Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina ~ 1380 Harbor Island Drive · San Diego, California, 92101
Reasons will be hosting a Marginalized Voices evening event at the 2015 NEDA conference honoring and celebrating stories of recovery. This evening is to help provide a voice and story to those groups that are typically Marginalized within the eating disorder community. We are working to dispel the myths of who eating disorders really impact. We hope to help bring awareness that these disorders do not discriminate and neither should we in how we approach, treat and understand eating disorders.
Please come and enjoy live Spoken Word & Acoustic Performances. Dinner & Gourmet Dessert Bar will be included. Event is free and open to the public. You do not have to be registered for the NEDA conference to attend this event.

What is the Marginalized Voices Campaign?
Eating disorders affect people from all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities. Unfortunately that diversity is rarely reflected in the way eating disorders are discussed and treated. Through a partnership between the National Eating Disorders Association and Reasons Eating Disorder Center, the Marginalized Voices campaign will confront the prevailing myths about who struggles with eating disorders, underscoring that everyone’s experience is equally as valid and deserving of care and recovery.
