Staying Connected with Other Reasons Alumni
Welcome Reasons Alumni! We are honored that you chose to receive treatment at Reasons Eating Disorder Center and want to stay connected with you. We invite you to become a part of our Reasons to Thrive community and take advantage of the recovery resources available to you.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO T.H.R.I.V.E.?
Trust. Hope. Restore. Inspire. Voice. Educate.
As humans, trust is at the core of healthy relationships with self and others. It is important to learn what it means to trust: how to build it and how to maintain it in relationships. Hope allows us the ability to achieve our goals. Whether these are goals in recovery, academics, career, or in relationships, hope keeps us moving forward and leaves room for optimistic outcomes.
Our bodies and minds can become exhausted and even shut down when stress levels are high. We must allow space to restore mind, body and spirit. Self-care is an important part of restoration. We all have a story and experiences that can inspire. If we choose to connect and learn more about one another, we can inspire and be inspired.
Advocacy creates change. Using your voice and being heard can create positive change and raise awareness. We can all be teachers. Making an effort to educate others and being open to learning new things from the people around you can help enrich lives.
REASONS ALUMNI TAKE-AWAYS
Reasons Alumni discuss their most important take-aways from treatment. Hear in their own words what their experiences of treatment have been and some of the key things that have aided them on their journey.
Every recovery journey is different and is never linear. However, with support, courage and a lot of hard work, a full recovery is possible.
We would like to thank all the Alumni that participated in the making of this video. We are so grateful for your participation and willingness to share your vulnerability. If you are an alumnus and interested in getting more involved in Alumni Programming or sharing your story, please feel free to CONTACT US.
