Eating Disorder Programs at All Levels of Care

The programs at our eating disorder treatment facility are designed to address the complexities of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and related eating disorders. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals is here to assist in the process of healing, understanding and, most importantly, acceptance through emotional re-regulation, behavioral stability and nutritional balance.

“No matter what the voices in your head are saying to you right now, you are enough and you are going to get through this difficult time. You are making the bold decision to leave your eating disorder behind and venture to a new life of freedom.” – Former Patient

ADULT PROGRAMS

Inpatient Treatment

Our inpatient eating disorder treatment program focuses on addressing the individual’s medical, emotional, spiritual, psychological and nutritional needs. For patients requiring 24-hour eating disorder care and supervision, we offer around-the-clock nursing care and daily visits with a psychiatrist in addition to individual, group, and family therapy and nutrition counseling. Our acute care program is a key differentiator amongst regional eating disorder facilities.

Residential Treatment

Our adult residential eating disorder treatment programs are located in intimate six-bed homes with a high staff to patient ratio, 24-hour nursing, and personalized treatment for each patient. Our residential programs offer gender-affirming care for female-identifying adults. They are designed to meet the needs of those seeking recovery from an eating disorder and who require a secure place to begin or continue their treatment.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program can be a transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment, or patients can enter directly into this program from the outpatient setting while still living at home, in our independent living house, or in local sober-living housing or a hotel near the hospital. The adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive, structured eight-hour, six-day per week treatment program that patients attend from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

IOP is a structured, intensive four-hour, six-day per week program that can act as a transition from the partial hospitalization program, or for those patients who need more than outpatient therapy. We offer two options for this level of care: 10:30 am to 2:30 pm or 2:30 to 6:30 pm, depending on the individual’s schedule and treatment needs.

Virtual Outpatient (Telehealth)

We currently provide three-hour virtual IOP sessions and five-hour virtual PHP for adults with eating disorders. Available five days per week, you’ll receive fast access to a UHS-credentialed provider for assessment, advice, education, intervention and monitoring. Like our on-site IOP and PHP, these programs also include group therapy, individual therapy, meal support, experiential therapies, and individual meetings with a psychiatrist, therapist and Registered Dietitian.

ADOLESCENT PROGRAMS

Inpatient Treatment

Our inpatient adolescent eating disorder treatment program is an intensive level of care and includes both acute stabilization and intensive therapeutic interventions for adolescents ages 12-17. Patients in this program receive structured and specialized treatment from a multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment team. We collaborate with the family to promote emotional, behavioral and physiological re-regulation and stabilization to begin the process of healing.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

PHP is an intensive, structured eight-hour, six-day per week treatment program that patients attend from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. It is designed to ensure continued success in recovery from the eating disorder with a focus on the adolescent’s emotional and nutritional goals while attending therapeutic and educational groups that address the particular challenges of implementing changes into one’s daily life.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

The Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured, intensive four-hour, six-day a week program that can act as a transition from the partial hospitalization program, or for those adolescents who need more than outpatient therapy. Adolescents may be able to attend school while attending this program and will receive both meal support and therapeutic and educational groups.
