Reasons Admissions Process

Reasons Admissions Processuhsinc_remote2022-06-08T22:01:26-07:00

Project Description

Deciding to seek professional help for an eating disorder and selecting the right facility is an important step in the journey towards recovery. If you or a loved one are suffering from an eating disorder, the admissions process may seem daunting. You may be unsure how to get started, feel scared, nervous, or conflicted about coming to treatment. All of that is completely normal.

Our admissions staff at Reasons EDC is committed to accept you as the whole person you are. Our staff members are understanding of the fact that you are reaching out and seeking help at a vulnerable time in your life.  We understand the courage it takes to make the first call to us and reach out for help, whether it be for yourself or a loved one.

We have a true understanding that you may be undergoing an intensive internal battle. Part of you desperately wants to move forward finding peace without the behaviors that come with an eating disorder but another part of you may recognize that these behaviors serve a purpose to manage overwhelming emotions. When seeking help you are deciding to leave behind something that has taken up a major part of your life. The intake specialists are here to walk you through this very struggle that you face. We are here to remind you that you do not have to face it alone.

The Process

The admissions process consists of a few different steps starting with the initial phone call. This screening first establishes the relationship between you and Reasons, a relationship that is extremely valued by our staff. A member of our intake staff will also gather and review your insurance benefits, providing you a better understanding of your insurance coverage and financial responsibility.  A complimentary phone assessment then be scheduled and completed shortly after your initial inquiry with Reasons. The admissions assessment will help us gain a better understanding of your clinical needs and allow us to make a treatment recommendation that will fit your individual situation.

The entire admissions process can be completed in as little as a day but varies depending on each unique situation. Once all of the information needed is gathered, our intake specialists will let you know which program has been recommended as the best fit for you based on the clinical assessment and your insurance benefits. Because Reasons EDC offers a full range of programs at different treatment levels, we are able to offer different options such as inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient. This is determined not just based on symptoms and behaviors but what is best for you as an individual.

Our intake team members at Reasons EDC acknowledge and understand this can be a difficult time and strive to make the admissions process as seamless as possible, coordinating with your doctor, therapist, family members, or previous treatment centers. Ashley Bullock, our Senior Admissions Coordinator, says that she works to “make people feel comfortable and connected” and feels that her work at Reasons is nothing short of a privilege. Give us a call today to learn more about Reasons and admissions into our programs.
